Worries or Blessings?

After a night with several hours of sleepless worry -- bills, kids, life -- I woke with the determination to simply praise God for all the blessings He has showered upon me and leave the worries behind. After all, His word tells us in Matthew 6:25-27:

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?"

I really like what Jesus said in verse 34:

"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

In my Bible I have written in the margin: "Ain't it the truth?!"

So, I choose to obey God's -- Jesus's -- command to stop worrying. Tomorrow will have to take care of itself. I'm going to enjoy the blessings of today. Here are just a few:

A view of where we work, live and play.

Gorgeous old Live Oak on the ranch

Look around -- there's beauty even in the "prickly" places of life!

My front porch. We get such a kick out of watching the hummingbirds!

Jack. Or is it Jill? One of my many, many bunny friends.

"Let me in! Pleeeeze! Peck, peck peck!"

I, too, had a sleepless night due to the same reasons. Thank you. I needed this today.
I love the pictures, especially the flowering cactus.
