While I'm Waiting

I'm waiting. Waiting for quite a few things actually.

A phone call.

An email.

A loved one to accept the Truth about Jesus.

Just to name a few.

Waiting is not easy. I've already confessed on this blog about my lack of patience. Nothing has changed since that post. I'm still not a very patient person. I want things to happen NOW, not tomorrow. But the amazing thing is I learn things while I'm waiting. That's the whole reason God makes us wait, I believe. To learn. To be more like Him. He's waiting, too, you know. He might even be waiting on YOU!

This song by John Waller aptly entitled "While I'm Waiting" is a new favorite. I first heard it at the ACFW conference last September in Denver. We sang it in our worship sessions and oh, how it touched souls! Most writers are waiting. Waiting for an agent or an editor to take notice. Waiting to hear back on a submission. Waiting for a release date. Waiting for readers to buy their books.

I was reminded of this song again last week by a sweet friend, Author Kim Vogel Sawyer, on her Blog. (Scroll down to find her post.) I'll share the lyrics and a link to the video. I hope it inspires you as it did me.

Yes, I'm waiting. But there are things to do while I wait!

Enjoy!

WHILE I'M WAITING
BY JOHN WALLER

I'm waiting
I'm waiting on You, Lord
And I am hopeful
I'm waiting on You, Lord
Though it is painful
But patiently, I will wait

I will move ahead, bold and confident
Taking every step in obedience
While I'm waiting
I will serve You
While I'm waiting
I will worship
While I'm waiting
I will not faint
I'll be running the race
Even while I wait

I'm waiting
I'm waiting on You, Lord
And I am peaceful
I'm waiting on You, Lord
Though it's not easy
But faithfully, I will wait
Yes, I will wait
I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve you while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting on You, Lord

Listen to it here! It's beautiful!

Hi Michelle! Of course I remember you! Thanks for stopping by my blog...I have looked at yours a few times. Met with a fellow TX blogger today that reviews Christian fiction books. Catch up on facebook if you want--all four of us have them. Jenna is in Israel this week!

Waiting... The story of my life! :)

So I was going back through some of my older posts, and I saw your comment, and I just wanted to let you know something super encouraging.

So in the past month, God has been providing an incredible amount of FREEDOM on me! It has been so incredible, just the feeling of freedom on my soul... The day to day walk of not having to worry about lust, or any kind of entrapment from the enemy.

So great! I am soon to be engaged, (not yet) soon to be, which is incredible, the Lord has blessed freedom on my soul, and has put me head over heals, for a women, who is head over heals for Him!

So great!

In Christ,
Josh
